Mixing has always been a recurring subject in my life. As a native Californian raised in Mexico, I've always tried to mix the best of both cultures in my personal and professional life. My interest in sound and music began at an early age in Guadalajara, Mexico. There, I discovered my love for drums at age 11 and started studying privately with some of the top drummers in the city. Later on, I started playing in my father’s band, from whom I learned the basics of sound recording.
By the time I graduated high school, I was an active drummer in the Guadalajara music scene and became obsessed with sound recording and mixing. This motivated me to move back to the USA. After a couple of years at Glendale Community College in Arizona, I received a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music, where I discovered the amazing world of post production.
After graduating with honors from Berklee, I relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career in sound.
Since 2010, I've had the privilege to work for some of the best entertainment companies in Los Angeles like Fox, ABC, Disney, Netflix, The Woodshed Recording, SPG Studios, Stagg Street Studios, Los Olivos, Wild Woods, Pilgrim Studios, World of Wonder and many others.
Some of my credits include original series, TV shows, commercials and movies for Warner Bros. Bravo, History Channel, NatGeo, FXX, HBO, TLC, CBS, OWN, Fuse, E!, Hallmark Channel, VH1, The CW and Netflix.
In music, I've worked with artists like Pink, Andrea Bocelli, Aloe Blac, Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne, Cher, Sting, Lenny Kravitz, Erykah Badu, Gladys Knight, Brad Paisley, Richard Page, Vinnie Colaiuta, Luis Conte, Robert Glasper and Shenkar.
I've also been part of the Pre-recorded Music Programming team for major awards shows like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Academy of Country Music Awards, Kid's Choice Awards and Billboard Music Awards with engineer Pablo Munguia and his company Maraka Music.
